Thank you, Jagoda Marinić, for your contribution. Well, I do not agree to most of your implications. In particular, I do not agree to your description of the dispute between the German and the Greek government during the financial crisis in 2008. What I am missing here and in your contribution at all is something which is central in Thomas Mann’s essay: The self-critical approach. Don’t you agree that this is something all of us should try to adopt? No doubt, the “Querdenker”-idiots and their allies will not be able to do so. However, writers should, I think. Or is this a too German hope? (I wouldn’t ask this question, which might be found a bit polemic, if I weren’t inspired by your contribution.)
